(276 words) Mikhail Yurievich Lermontov is rightfully considered one of the greatest Russian poets and prose writers. A man of hard fate, he undoubtedly left a mark in the heart of every concerned reader. Not surprising, because the author was truly a man of his time. What he experienced is expressed, of course, in the image of a lyrical hero. The eternal wanderer, an outcast of society, misunderstood and not accepted by contemporaries, tormented by torment to find spiritual harmony and love, he largely reflects the personality of the poet himself. Mikhail Yuryevich tried to express his pain, innermost feelings and a sense of hopelessness in poetic lines beginning with the words "I will go out alone on the road ...".
The author seems to foresee the decline of his life, the collapse of unrealizable hopes and the inevitability of life. The rebellious spirit that arose in young Lermontov and longed for a quick exit, noticeably weakened and subsided in the later lines:
I’m not expecting anything from life,
And I do not pity the past at all;
I seek freedom and peace!
I would like to forget and fall asleep!
The poet is in an oppressed state of loneliness. He is alone on the road of life. At the same time, the author demonstrates an amazing synthesis of humility with fate, the meaninglessness of life and inner detachment with a slight ghost of hope for finding love and peace. That to which his heart, temperament, talent and will have been striving all his life. The general mood of the text is depressing, sad, but nevertheless the poet believes in the possibility that he will be in harmony with himself. As a true romantic, he idealizes another world, gives it elevated features. In life, in reality, the lyrical hero was disappointed, there was only a vague foreboding that beyond the bounds of being he would meet the embodiment of his dreams.
The lyrical hero in the person of the poet goes out to meet his fate, anticipating the inevitable end of his life's journey. And, at first glance, it is paradoxical, but only at that moment does his soul find the desired and desired harmony for such a long time.
