(488 words) In some kingdom the king ruled, and he had three sons. After thinking a little, he decided to marry everyone, ordered them to shoot from the bow, saying that where the arrow goes, there should be a bride to look for. The sons obeyed the will of the father. As a result, the first son married the noblewoman, the second on the merchant, and the third on the frog, as his arrow hit the swamp.
The tsar decided to find out which of his daughters-in-law was the best needlewoman, and informed his sons that by tomorrow morning their wives should sew a shirt. Ivan returned home, and the frog noticed that he was sad, told him to sleep, and at night turned into Vasilisa the Wise, called her servants, and they sewed her shirt. In the morning, our Tsarevich saw his wife in the same guise. He carried the beautifully embroidered shirt to the king; it turned out to be better than others.
The king gave the following task - to bake bread. Vasilisa the Wise at night conjures again, and the result is a delicious, soft bread. The next morning, Ivan again saw a frog, but instead of a shirt there was already bread. The prince was delighted and went to his father to show that his wife had baked. Vasilisa’s bread was tastier than the rest.
The king wanted to triple the feast, invited guests to the feast, among which, of course, were his sons and daughter-in-law. Ivan, according to the instructions of the frog, one came, the brothers laughed at him, but it wasn’t there, then the thunder boomed, it was Vasilisa who arrived at the feast, she was more beautiful than all the other guests. Wife Ivan gracefully danced, all the guests admired her. And our prince at that time, while everyone was having fun at the holiday, went home, Ivan saw a frog skin and burned it. Vasilisa discovered this when she soon ran home. Sadness gripped our heroine, because if her husband had not done this and waited only 3 days, she would have been with him until the end of their days, and now she would have to live with Koshchei the Immortal. Having said this to Ivan, Vasilisa turned into a cuckoo and flew away. Ivan cried for a long time, and then went in search of his wife.
After some time, Ivan met an old man on his way, he then told him the story of Vasilisa. The father envied his daughter, she was smarter, more cunning than him, and he came up with a punishment. Vasilisa was supposed to live a frog for three years. He felt sorry for the old man of our protagonist and gave him a ball, telling the prince to follow him.
So the glomerulus and Ivan came to the field, there they met a bear who asked not to beat him, the prince had mercy and released the beast. After Ivan saved several more animals: a drake, a hare and a pike. And then our hero met Baba Yaga, and she explained to him that Koschey would die only if Ivan found a chest on a tree.
Ivan finds the same tree, but he can’t get the chest, then the bear comes running and breaks the oak. The chest falls and breaks, a hare suddenly runs out of it, but another hare, which Ivan once regretted, manages to catch up with him. A duck flies out of a hare, but the drake catches it, it drops an egg, which falls into the sea, and here the pike helps to get it. Ivan breaks an egg and takes out a needle, breaking it. Koschey dies, his daughter is freed from the spell.
So the Tsarevich returned his beloved home, and since then they have lived happily ever after.
